One of the big keywords on the Web is content. Customers need a reason to visit. The content of the site will most likely be a combination of information that is currently at hand and information that will need to be created. If you are not overly confident of your ability to adequately convey your company's information, then a copywriters' services should be considered.

One of the first pages a potential customer goes to is more often than not the FAQ page. What questions do people ask most often? If you don't have a list of frequently asked questions and answers, then get together with your staff and write one. The more answers your customers can get from the site, the less time will be spent answering those same questions on the phone.

Other necessary pages are:
• Contact: make sure there is a physical address as a well as a postal address. Many of the search engines and directories will not post you without a physical address.
• Benefits: people want to know how they can benefit from using the product/service-they want to know what's in it for them.
• Services/ Products: Make it obvious to the potential customer what your service/product is and how it can be acquired. If you are selling a product...make it obvious how they can buy it!
